South Florida Radio Icon Papa Keith Expands His Influence with a New National Role at iHeartMedia, Ends Daytime Slot at 103.5 The Beat

For generations of South Floridians, Papa Keith has been more than a radio personality. He’s been a trusted voice, cultural ambassador, community advocate, and one of the most recognizable figures in local media.

Now, the longtime 103.5 The Beat host is stepping into a new chapter.

Papa Keith announced that he will transition into a new role with iHeartMedia as National Brand Partnerships & Multicultural Specialist, effective June 27. In the position, he will help develop strategic partnerships and multicultural initiatives that connect brands with diverse audiences across the country.

The move marks a significant milestone in a career that has spanned more than two decades and helped shape South Florida’s radio landscape. Earlier this month, during Caribbean American Heritage Month, Papa Keith was honored by Miramar Commissioner Yvette Colbourne for his longtime contributions to South Florida and his commitment to uplifting communities throughout the region.

“This next chapter lets me continue doing what I’ve always loved, including building relationships, creating opportunities, supporting culture, and connecting people,” Papa Keith said in a statement. “Radio has been my foundation, but my mission has always been bigger than a microphone.”

While his daily afternoon show on 103.5 The Beat will come to an end on June 26, listeners won’t have to say goodbye completely. Papa Keith will continue hosting his Saturday show from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on 103.5 The Beat and will remain active through the growing Papa Keith Podcast, where he continues conversations around culture, entertainment, entrepreneurship, and community issues.
