After a hiatus, the Can We Talk Podcast is back.
Host Janey Tate returned to the airwaves on Thursday, May 28, for her first live episode in months, reflecting on her decision to step away from the podcast, what she learned during that time, and why now felt like the right moment to return.
The comeback comes as South Florida politics enters a period of major transition. During the episode, Janey breaks down several developments that could reshape the region’s political landscape, including U.S. Rep. Frederica Wilson’s retirement announcement, state Sen. Shevrin Jones’ decision not to seek re-election, and attorney Rudolph Moise’s decision to run in Congressional District 24 instead of District 20.
The conversation also explores who is already running in District 24, who could potentially enter the race, the political ripple effects these contests may have across South Florida, the ongoing controversy surrounding Congressional District 20, and the latest developments in the upcoming Miami Gardens elections.
