A major community tradition is returning with a bigger purpose this year, as the Chief Hall Association gears up for Chief Hall Festival 2026 with a bold $1 million fundraising goal to upgrade athletic facilities at Miami Carol City Senior High School.
The festival is set for Saturday, April 11, from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Riscoe Park, and is expected to bring together thousands of alumni, students and community supporters for a day centered on school pride and collective impact, according to a press statement.
Organizers say the initiative is already underway, with the association contributing an initial $25,000 toward improvements to the school’s newly built football and track field. That donation marks the start of a larger campaign aimed at raising $1 million to further transform the campus’ athletic facilities.
Funds raised will go toward installing new stadium bleachers, upgraded field lighting and a modern scoreboard—enhancements designed to create a safer and more competitive environment for student-athletes while elevating the overall game-day experience.
The festival itself is expected to draw more than 5,000 attendees from across South Florida. Guests can expect a high-energy lineup of live entertainment, food vendors, community activations, alumni class competitions and family-friendly experiences.
Claudienne Hibbert-Smith, a representative of the Chief Hall Association, said in a statement that the effort goes far beyond a single event.
“This is bigger than a festival—this is about legacy,” Hibbert-Smith said. “We are investing in the future of our students, our school and our community. The goal is not just to build facilities, but to build opportunity, pride and a lasting foundation for generations to come.”
Community members, alumni, corporate sponsors and partners are encouraged to support the campaign through donations, sponsorships and festival participation.
