We love to see it! Congratulations to Romania Dukes of Mothers Fighting for Justice. Dukes announced on Facebook that the nonprofit now has its own resource center.
MFFJ is dedicated to ending neighborhood violence. The mother who has lost children and grandchildren to gun violence has led protests around the county, focusing on South Dade. She plans to expand her community efforts further with the resource center.
“I’m so excited that now I can be able to be that resource for so many people in the West Perrine, Goulds, Homestead, Florida City, Richmond Heights Communities,” Dukes wrote on Facebook. “I always wanted my own space to be that support for the families who has been affected by gun violence, criminal activity, homelessness, sexual assault, domestic violence, incarceration, and the list goes on.”
