Generational Cure Hosted Its 5th Annual Father and Son Football Tournament with Bonus Lesson for Fathers

Fathers and sons bonded over football and manhood on Saturday at the 5th annual Father and Son flag football tournament in Bunch Park.

The annual event was presented by local mentorship program, Generational Cure and Miami Gardens Councilman Robert L. Stephens III.

The day began with the “Finances of Fatherhood Workshop,” discussing financial planning, leaving an inheritance for the next generation and investing. Followed by the 7 on 7 Father and Son flag football tournament, where boys 8 to 19 teamed up with their fathers and mentors.

Generational Cure mentors young men and women who need role models and guidance. The organization focuses on building self-esteem, training and developing their leadership qualities and pushing them to think beyond the stereotypical expectations placed on them by society.
