Prior to attending law school, Representative Gantt completed two years of national community service with AmeriCorps as a 2007 Teach for America Mississippi Delta Corps (TFA) member. She then returned home becoming an educator in Miami-Dade County Public Schools teaching middle and high school English and history.

In 2016, upon being admitted to the Florida Bar, Ms. Gantt became a Broward County Assistant Public Defender where she advocated for the citizens of Broward County for over two years before transitioning to private practice. Reddick Bar Association as the 2020-2021 president, and the Gwen S. Cherry Black Women Lawyers Association where she is currently the Vice-President.

Various life experiences influenced her areas of specialization and continue to fuel her ambition and drive as a practitioner.

In March 2022, she was inspired to serve her community in a new capacity and announced her candidacy for State Representative for House District 109. She recognized the need for the next generation to answer the call of public service for forward thinking and progressive community advocacy through policy. She is dedicated to engaging, educating, and empowering her community as the State House Ambassador while mentoring the next generation of leaders for continuity, progress, and growth.
