Sommore Bringing Chandelier Lounge Residency to South Florida With Raheem DeVaughn

The comedian’s new entertainment experience will debut Dec. 11 at the Pompano Beach Cultural Center, combining stand-up comedy, live R&B and an upscale lounge atmosphere.

South Florida comedy fans will have a new entertainment experience to look forward to this holiday season as comedian Sommore brings her Chandelier Lounge Residency — #THEGOODLIFE — to the Pompano Beach Cultural Center.

The residency will make its debut Friday, Dec. 11, 2026, with Grammy Award-winning R&B singer Raheem DeVaughn joining Sommore for an evening that blends stand-up comedy, live music and an intimate lounge atmosphere.

Created by Sommore, the Chandelier Lounge is an expansion of the comedian’s entertainment vision beyond the traditional comedy stage. The concept combines live performances with an upscale setting, offering guests an experience centered on entertainment, music, food and socializing.

Known for her sharp humor and commanding stage presence, Sommore has built a decades-long career across comedy, film and television. Her acting credits include Friday After Next, Soul Plane and Something New, along with television appearances on The Parkers and The Hughleys.

She has also released several comedy specials, including The Queen Stands Alone, Chandelier Status, The Reign Continues and A Queen with No Spades. Her more recent Netflix specials, Queen Chandelier (2023) and Chandelier Fly (2026), continue her legacy as one of comedy’s recognizable voices.

DeVaughn’s addition brings a live R&B element to the residency’s inaugural event. The singer is known for his smooth vocals and catalog of contemporary R&B, adding a musical component to an evening designed to bring different forms of entertainment together.

For Sommore, the concept is about creating more than a traditional comedy show.

“The Chandelier Lounge is about creating an experience,” Sommore said in a press release. “It’s about great entertainment, good music, good food, beautiful surroundings, and being in the company of people who appreciate the finer things in life.”

The Pompano Beach debut marks the beginning of Sommore’s vision for a residency that brings together established entertainers and audiences looking for a different kind of night out.
