Comcast Celebrates Grand Opening of New Miami Gardens Tech Hub with $35,000 Grant to Help Local Businesses

On Nov. 6, Comcast celebrated the grand opening of its newest Xfinity store in Miami Gardens, marking a significant investment in technology access and community engagement in the fast-growing South Florida city.

Located at 19184 NW 27th Avenue, the nearly 1,200-square-foot store is designed to serve as a modern tech hub, offering Xfinity’s full suite of Internet, mobile, streaming entertainment, and home security services.

To commemorate the occasion, Comcast awarded a $35,000 grant to Branches – a local nonprofit focused on economic empowerment. Comcast’s contribution will help advance the organization’s Be One application, developed to support underserved small businesses in Miami-Dade County. The app connects entrepreneurs to vital resources, mentorship, and tools they need to grow and thrive in today’s economy.

The celebration featured a ribbon-cutting ceremony, premium giveaways, and remarks from local leaders and Comcast executives. Attendees included representatives from the Miami Gardens Chamber of Commerce, nonprofit partners, and area residents.

Jackie Guerry Maybeck, Vice President of Marketing and Sales for Comcast’s Florida Region, served as emcee for the event and highlighted the company’s dedication to meeting customers where they are, both digitally and in person.

“At Comcast, we’re committed to meeting the needs of our community and meeting customers where they’re at. In this case, in person, right here in this beautiful new store,” said Guerry Maybeck in a press statement. “With this new location in Miami Gardens, I’m proud to say we now have eight stores across the county.”

Andre L. Williams, President of the Miami Gardens Chamber of Commerce, also spoke at the event, emphasizing the store’s role in advancing local economic development.

“This new store represents a meaningful investment in accessibility, innovation, and personalized customer care,” said Williams in a press statement. “I am a firm believer that when businesses thrive, communities thrive. That’s why we’re especially excited to welcome Comcast and its Xfinity team to our neighborhood.”
