The Greater Miami (FL) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated is marking a major milestone this fall—70 years of friendship and service—with its annual Book & Author Luncheon featuring acclaimed author and historian A’Lelia Bundles.
The event will take place on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at 11 a.m. at the JW Marriott Turnberry Isle Resort in Aventura. Bundles, the great-great-granddaughter of pioneering entrepreneur and philanthropist Madame C.J. Walker, will share insights from her latest book, The Joy Goddess of Harlem: A’Lelia Walker and the Harlem Renaissance. The book offers a vibrant and deeply researched portrait of A’Lelia Walker, a key figure in Harlem’s artistic and cultural boom during the 1920s.

In addition to celebrating Bundles’ literary achievements, the luncheon will honor seven decades of community service by the Greater Miami Chapter of The Links, one of the nation’s oldest and largest volunteer service organizations dedicated to enriching and sustaining the culture and economic well-being of African Americans and people of African ancestry.
Tickets and sponsorship opportunities for the event are available at GreaterMiamiLinksInc.org.
