The West Perrine Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) will break ground on a new affordable housing development, Hibiscus Grove, on Tuesday, July 22, 2025. The event will take place from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at 9948 West Hibiscus Street in West Perrine and is expected to include CRA board members, local leaders, stakeholders, and residents.
The project is part of the CRA’s broader efforts to revitalize the West Perrine area through sustainable development and improved access to affordable housing. Once completed, Hibiscus Grove will feature newly built, modern homes tailored to meet the needs of working families in Miami-Dade County.
“Hibiscus Grove is a direct investment in the families who call this neighborhood home,” said Leviticus Gilliard Sr., Chairman of the West Perrine CRA Board, in a press release. “It’s about building stability, creating opportunity, and strengthening our future—right here in West Perrine.”
The groundbreaking ceremony is open to the public and will include light refreshments.
