Dr. Gallon received the chapter’s prestigious Community Service Award, which recognizes individuals who have made a lasting impact through civic leadership, community empowerment, and service.
A proud member of Kappa Alpha Psi since 1988, Gallon pledged as a freshman at the Alpha Xi Chapter and has remained dedicated to the fraternity’s principles of achievement and service throughout his career.

“To be recognized by the Brotherhood that helped shape my leadership and commitment to service is deeply meaningful,” Gallon said in a press release. “Kappa Alpha Psi has been a part of my journey since 1988, and I am proud to carry its mission forward through every facet of my work.”
Gallon, a former school superintendent and current representative for District 1 on the Miami-Dade School Board, has championed educational equity for years, especially in underserved communities across South Florida.
