The North Miami Community Redevelopment Agency (NMCRA), in partnership with Board Member Mary Estimé-Irvin, has launched the West Dixie Small Business Tech Grant, offering up to $7,500 to help local businesses modernize their operations and stay competitive in today’s digital economy.
The new grant initiative aims to support entrepreneurs in upgrading their technology—from installing Point of Sale (POS) systems and building websites to investing in cybersecurity tools and digital marketing strategies. Eligible businesses can also use the funds for hardware upgrades, cloud services, software subscriptions, and even professional development or tech-related training.
“This initiative reflects our commitment to empowering small businesses with the tools they need to succeed in a technology-driven marketplace,” said Anna-Bo Emmanuel, Esq., Executive Director of the NMCRA, in a press release. “By supporting upgrades in digital infrastructure and operations, we’re helping local entrepreneurs remain competitive and resilient.”
To qualify, businesses must be for-profit and located along West Dixie Highway within the CRA boundaries. They must also have proper licensing and be in good standing with the City of North Miami and the NMCRA—meaning no unpaid taxes or pending litigation. National franchises and chains are not eligible.
Applications and more information are available at NorthMiamiCRA.org or by calling (305) 895-9839.
