On Tuesday, March 11, Miami-Dade School Board Member Dr. Steve Gallon III hosted his monthly Student Recognition Ceremony at Lake Stevens Middle School, celebrating the achievements of students from District 1.
The event brought together students, parents, teachers, and administrators to highlight young leaders excelling in academics, attendance, generosity, kindness, and personal growth. Honorees received a certificate of achievement, a medal, and a Student of the Month T-shirt in recognition of their efforts.
“I am deeply honored, humbled, and grateful for the overwhelming support and active involvement of parents and families at tonight’s celebration of our students,” said Dr. Gallon in a press release. “The ongoing success of District 1 is directly tied to the dedication of every stakeholder in the education and empowerment of our students. This evening truly embodied that commitment.”
