The City of Miami Gardens is set to celebrate Black History Month with the Taste The Culture Black History Month Food Festival on Saturday, February 22, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Betty T. Ferguson Recreational Complex (3000 Northwest 199th Street, Miami Gardens, FL 33056).
Hosted by Councilman Reggie Leon, the festival will showcase a diverse lineup of local food vendors, offering authentic dishes inspired by African, Caribbean, and Southern culinary traditions. Attendees can indulge in a variety of flavors, from savory soul food to bold Caribbean spices, highlighting the rich cultural heritage of the Black community.
“This is a unique opportunity to come together as a community to not only celebrate Black History but also to experience the incredible flavors and traditions that are an essential part of the Black experience,” said Councilman Leon.
Beyond the food, the festival aims to support Black-owned businesses by providing local entrepreneurs with a platform to gain exposure and connect with the community. The free event welcomes residents, students, seniors, and food enthusiasts for a day of unity, history, and culinary exploration.
