In anticipation of the 2nd annual Reggae Genealogy music festival, the Island SPACE Caribbean Museum will host an engaging panel discussion titled “The Gentrification of Jamaican Music” on Saturday, January 18, from 5-8 p.m. The event will take place at the museum, located near the northeast entrance of the Broward Mall in Plantation, Florida.
The panel will feature prominent voices from the reggae music industry, including Ian Lewis of Inner Circle, Grammy-winning producer Jason “J-Vibe” Farmer, Vice President of Sales at VP Records Aaron Talbert, Grammy-winning artist and influencer Tifa, and selector and entrepreneur Supa Twitch. Radio personality G Cole, known for his podcast Homegrown with G Cole, will moderate the discussion.

The discussion will delve into the evolution of Jamaican music, focusing on its origins and the influencers shaping modern reggae and dancehall.
