Hy-Lo News is proud to announce that we have been selected as a recipient of a grant from The Pivot Fund, an organization dedicated to empowering grassroots journalism that serves communities of color. This funding is part of The Pivot Fund’s $1.2 million investment in eight local and independent media outlets nationwide, supporting critical news coverage and amplifying underrepresented voices.
A Commitment to Empowering Community Journalism
Hy-Lo News has been recognized for its commitment to delivering vital local news and fostering civic engagement within South Florida. With this grant, we will expand coverage in underserved Black and Brown communities, enhance reporting capabilities, hire new staff, and adopt innovative tools and technologies.
