Fantasy Theatre Factory (FTF) is set to revive a South Florida holiday favorite, Scrooge! A Fractured Christmas Carol, for a special holiday run at the Sandrell Rivers Theater from November 30 to December 22, 2024. The show, co-directed and written by FTF’s Artistic Director Larry Fields, offers a humorous twist on Charles Dickens’ classic tale.
This reimagined adaptation transplants the story of Ebenezer Scrooge from 19th-century London to present-day Miami. Featuring colorful sets, local humor, and an inclusive acknowledgment of Christmas, Hanukkah, and Kwanzaa, the production appeals to audiences of all ages. Fields, who also stars as Scrooge, describes the play as “a celebration of the season that brings people together.”
The production stars Fields alongside a talented cast that includes Grant Grande, Noelle Nicholas, Cameron Holder, and Spencer Carlisle. Co-director Rommel Arellan-Marinas joins a creative team that includes costume designer K. Blair Brown, set constructor David Hippchen, sound designer David Hart, and prop maker Santiago Garza.
FTF founders Mimi Schultz and Edward Allen also lend their voices to this festive performance, enhancing the show’s immersive experience.
