Grace Jamaican Jerk Festival Returns to Miramar for 22nd Annual Celebration

The 22nd Annual Grace Jamaican Jerk Festival (GJJF) will take place on Sunday, November 10, 2024, at Miramar Regional Park, located at 16801 Miramar Pkwy, Miramar, Florida. The event will run from 1:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. and is expected to draw thousands of attendees, showcasing Caribbean culture through music, cuisine, and entertainment.

South Florida, which is home to approximately 1.6 million Caribbean residents, will host this celebration of Caribbean culinary traditions and cultural contributions. The Grace Jamaican Jerk Festival aims to offer an authentic taste of the islands, featuring popular dishes such as Jamaican jerk chicken, jerk pork, and other Caribbean delicacies.

A highlight of the festival will be the return of the Publix Culinary Stage, where Chef Irie Spice will host cooking demonstrations, including a presentation by Boston-based Chef Darian, who recently gained national recognition through a GMC RAM TV ad campaign. The 2024 Celebrity Cook-Off will feature a competition between Local 10 anchor Alexis Frazier and NBC-6 anchor Kris Anderson. Additionally, celebrity chefs Alain Lemaire and Winston Williams will engage in a culinary face-off.

“This year, we’re elevating the Grace Jamaican Jerk Festival to new heights. Our guests can expect an even more exciting experience with thrilling culinary demonstrations and contests, as well as vibrant cultural presentations,” said Eddy Edwards, Grace Jamaican Jerk Festival Managing Partner & CEO, in a press release. “With a wider variety of mouthwatering food offerings and more fun activities for the whole family, we’re crafting a unique celebration of Caribbean culture, ensuring there’s something for everyone to enjoy.”

This year’s festival will be held at Miramar Regional Park for the first time, a move aimed at accommodating a larger crowd and expanding the number of vendors to improve service efficiency. The main stage will showcase a variety of musical acts, blending classic reggae and dancehall performances with appearances by Florida-based artists. Throughout the day, DJs including Richie D, DJ Radcliffe, Extatic Sound, and DJ Worm will keep the music flowing.

Festival-goers will have the opportunity to interact with sponsors, explore a variety of vendor offerings in the food court, and enjoy enhanced amenities in the VIP section, which will feature plush seating, unlimited beverages, gourmet food, and front-of-stage seating.

General admission tickets are available for $40, with gate prices set at $50. VIP tickets can be purchased for $175, and children under 10 are admitted free. For tickets and additional information, visit www.jerkfestival.com.

The Grace Jamaican Jerk Festival is presented by Publix in collaboration with the City of Miramar, Visit Lauderdale, NBC-6, Cox Radio Miami, National Weekly, and WAVS 1170 AM.
