Miami-Dade County Elders Can Receive Checks as Part of the County’s Save Our Seniors Program

This month, Miami-Dade County’s eligible residents will receive a $617 check as part of the Save Our Seniors Homeowners’ Relief Fund. Older adults ages 65 and above who do not receive Florida’s Homestead Long-Term Senior Exemption qualify to receive the one-time increased payment starting mid-December.

“As our economy continues to grow, costs are also rising. It is critical that we make sure our residents, especially our seniors, can continue to live and thrive here,” said Miami-Dade County Mayor Daniella Levine Cava in a press release. “My hope is that this check will help with some year-end expenses and bring some relief to those who need it most.”
