The Black Business and Financial Literacy Expo 2023, spearheaded by SHEAR Inc., is a community event aimed at offering valuable education and resources to empower individuals in making informed financial decisions. The expo kicks off on Saturday, August 26, 2023, from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Liberty Square Community Center located at 6304 NW 14th Ave, Miami, FL 33147.
The primary objective of the event is to provide attendees, especially those from lower to middle class families, with insights into achieving financial freedom through proper financial management. The expo’s agenda includes a number of sessions led by experienced speakers, covering topics such as initiating a business, understanding the value of credit, credit repair, effective home ownership, and efficient savings management.
SHEAR Inc., a 501(c)(3) organization established in 2001, is dedicated to fostering community growth, education, and mentorship. With a focus on youth development and community empowerment, SHEAR Inc. engages in various outreach activities, including supporting high school football teams, visiting nursing homes, aiding low-income families, reaching out to the homeless, assisting children’s hospitals, and offering services in correctional facilities across South Florida.
