Poetry Potluck Will Dedicate Their Event to Celebrate the Life of Danny Agnew on June 18th

The organizers of The Poetry Potluck (@thepoetrypotluck) will be celebrating the Legacy & Impact of Daniel “Danny” Agnew at their next event on Sunday, June 18th.

On Thursday, June 15th, the world, and especially the Miami community lost a giant of man when Danny Agnew passed away in a tragic car accident.

The community has poured out countless homages to Agnew, who was a pillar in the community via his work through his business Roots Collective and philanthropic and activism work through the Village FREE-ridge, summer camps, work with returning citizens, social justice and Black Economics.

The Poetry Potluck will feature NEW activations and interactive programming in “The Family Room,” Food, Drinks, Performances, and more out in the “Backyard.”

There will also be a special premiere screening of @thecinepoetry docuseries, produced by CUZZIN @everwonderfilms, and features @deuxlg at 6:30pm. And @imdjrocklee who will keep the vibes going through the event. Also, @seanetta1 and @_ohmasson will be back behind the bar keeping the drinks flowing.

His business partner, Isaiah Thomas, said in a Tweet this is an event Danny loved to attend and was looking forward to attending. This is a great way to show your love and support for the life of Danny while also being surrounded by positive vibes. People are encouraged to bring food and, their own drinks and blankets. Event organizers want everyone to remember that ALL gatherers are givers so EVERYONE should bring an item to contribute.

There are many articles written “about Danny Basquitt”. After reading, I think this article was written “for” Danny. Good Stuff.
