Jordan Pate-Garrett, Youth Services Coordinator at the Miami-Dade Economic Advocacy Trust (MDEAT), joined us on the Can We Talk Podcast to discuss the upcoming MDEAT Speaks series fireside chat that will tackle the subject of how America criminalizes Black Youth and she spoke on the importance of mental health care to aide in the development of our youth.
This event will feature author and law school professor, Kristin Henning, and discuss her book, “The Rage of Innocence: How America Criminalizes Black Youth.” It all goes down Tuesday, May 23, at 6 p.m. at Ampersand Studios, located at 31 N.E. 17th Street near Downtown Miami.
