For 30 years, the Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau (GMCVB) has organized the Hospitality Open Tournament, better known as the H.O.T. Challenge, to benefit its Black Hospitality Initiative (BHI).
Through this annual event, GMCVB has been able to raise more than $3 million to fund scholarships for African American students to study hospitality at local universities. This has allowed the bureau to support more than 350 students, many of whom have gone on to become the tourism professionals of today.
This year’s tournament kicks off on April 28th at the Miami Beach Golf Club, with shotgun starting at 8 a.m. and will feature best-in-class golfing, high-profile networking and great food and drinks!
