If you ask his mom, she will tell you his first words were “Doctor” but according to Geden, his first words were “Feed Me.”

At Northwestern, playing on the Football Team was a fun distraction but he enjoyed his time in the classroom the most. Following high school, he attended Miami Dade’s Honors College where he graduated Summa Cum Lade from the Honors College before transferring to Emory University. In 2009, he graduated Cum Laude from Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia with his Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology and as one of the Top 100 Honorary Seniors. He also served as team physician for the University of Houston and Houston Baptist University.

After 2 years as academic faculty in Sports and Exercises Medicine and developing a niche/expertise for Diversity and Inclusion, Underserved communities/ Minority health, he was recruited and decided to move home to Miami. He believes that the opportunity to move back home gave him an opportunity to make an impact in the city and community that raised him.
