Sen. Shevrin Jones and Miami Gardens Councilman Robert Stephens III will host a town hall to update the community on the redistricting process on Monday.
The Florida Legislature is currently debating over new voting district maps. The town hall comes at the heels of a failed attempt by the Senate Reapportionment Committee to split Miami Gardens. Jones, who represents the area, filed an amendment to revert the change this week.
It’s an opportunity to learn more about the process and the other legislation that will be pushed in Tallahassee this year.
Join the @cityofMiamiGardens, Jones and Stephens at 6:30 p.m. on Monday at Bunche Park, 15600 Bunche Drive West in Miami Gardens.
