A new beauty and wellness event focused on self-care and personal growth is coming to Broward County next month.
“Glow Day,” founded by Pembroke Pines-based entrepreneur Sasha Pondexter, is scheduled for May 3 at Macy’s Pembroke Lakes. The event will bring together beauty professionals, wellness experts and community voices for a series of activations and conversations centered on confidence and balance.
Organizers say the experience is designed to go beyond traditional beauty events by addressing the ways women often deprioritize their own well-being.
“Glow Day is more than just an event—it’s a journey to becoming the best version of yourself,” Pondexter said in a statement. “As women, we sometimes struggle with balance, losing ourselves pouring into others and prioritizing everything but ourselves.”
Pondexter added that the goal is to create an environment where attendees feel supported and encouraged to invest in themselves.
“It’s about creating a space where women feel seen, supported, and empowered to invest in themselves unapologetically,” she said.
The event will feature a range of interactive experiences, including mini facials, makeup masterclasses and networking opportunities. A panel discussion is also planned, with speakers expected to share insights on self-care, confidence and navigating different stages of life.
“Glow Day” is open to the public and geared toward beauty enthusiasts, wellness advocates and content creators, as well as anyone looking to reset or deepen their self-care routine.
The event will take place at 4 p.m. on the second-floor terrace of Macy’s Pembroke Lakes, located at 11605 Pines Blvd. in Pembroke Pines.
