FATHERS MIA will host its 10th Anniversary Spring Sneaker Gala, taking place on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at 6:30 PM at the Charles F. Dodge Center, 601 City Center Dr, Pembroke Pines, FL.
This milestone event celebrates a decade of dedicated mentorship and life-changing impact for young people growing up without a father. For ten years, FATHERS MIA has provided motivation, education, and inspiration through empowerment sessions and enriching educational experiences designed to uplift and guide young lives.
Founded by Gernald Hawkins, Sr. and co-founded by Robert Jackson, III, the organization was created to bridge a critical gap in the lives of fatherless youth. What began as a vision has grown into a powerful movement that continues to transform families and strengthen communities.
“We are incredibly proud to celebrate 10 years of purpose-driven work,” said Hawkins in a press statement. “What started as a passion to serve has evolved into an organization that is truly making a difference.”
The Spring Sneaker Gala serves as the culmination of the organization’s annual cohort program. A highlight of the evening includes a heartwarming Daddy/Daughter experience, where fatherless students are paired with first responders for a memorable and meaningful night—an opportunity many may not otherwise have.
Guests are encouraged to attend in their finest attire paired with stylish sneakers for a unique and celebratory evening filled with inspiration, community, and impact.
