A youth football camp scheduled to bring former NFL talent and mentorship to young athletes in South Florida has been postponed due to inclement weather.
All Pro Academy announced that its Weekend Warrior Camp, originally scheduled for March 14–15 in Opa-locka, will be rescheduled at a later date. Organizers say a new date and time for the Miami camp will be announced soon.
The two-day event was set to be hosted at Bunche Park and was expected to feature appearances from former NFL player Dwayne Bowe and legendary South Florida coach JaMarcus Russell, who planned to work directly with young athletes through drills, skills training, and mentorship.
All Pro Academy, in partnership with The Huddle Project, focuses on developing student-athletes by combining elite sports training with leadership and character development. The organization’s Weekend Warrior Camps are designed to give young athletes access to coaching, guidance, and performance systems often reserved for higher levels of competition.
Program leaders say the camps are built around a simple philosophy: talent exists everywhere, but opportunity does not always follow. By connecting aspiring athletes with experienced mentors and former professional players, the academy hopes to help participants build confidence, discipline, and the mindset needed to succeed both on and off the field.
Although the Miami camp has been postponed, organizers say the program remains committed to bringing the experience to South Florida once weather conditions allow. When the camp returns, youth from Miami and surrounding communities will still have the opportunity to train with former professional athletes and gain insight into the dedication required to compete at the highest levels of the sport.
Additional details about the new date and time for the rescheduled Weekend Warrior Camp will be announced in the coming weeks.
