The Miami music scene is getting the spotlight it deserves this August with a high-powered live taping of That Part Podcast, hosted by Papa Keith and Janey Tate of Hy-Lo News. On Wednesday, August 6, 2025, from 6 to 10 PM, the duo will record their season finale in front of a live audience at Doucé Lounge in Pembroke Pines. The topic for the night? “The State of the Miami Music Scene”—a conversation that’s been long overdue in a city bursting with talent, history, and evolving culture.
The event will bring together some of Miami’s most respected voices and cultural contributors. Joining the conversation will be multi-platinum producer and songwriter Rico Love, bold music and fashion personality NojweTtz, music executive and influencer Spase Jenkins, buzzing South Florida rapper Bushy B, and the legendary Ted Lucas, founder of Slip-N-Slide Records. Each guest brings a unique perspective to the table, reflecting different eras and angles of Miami’s complex and colorful music industry.
Doors open at 6 PM, and taping starts promptly at 7 PM. This free event will be recorded in front of a live audience, but guests must register on Eventbrite to secure their seat. As with everything Tate and Papa Keith do, the night promises to be both real and relevant—no fluff, just honest dialogue about the challenges and opportunities in Miami’s music scene.
