Hundreds of South Florida youth are expected to come together for a day focused on health, fitness, and community at the 11th Annual “Kids Get Hip and Fit Fair,” hosted by the S.E.E.K. (Seeking Education Empowers Knowledge) Foundation, Inc. The free event will take place on Thursday, July 24, from 10 AM to 1 PM at the Betty T. Ferguson Recreational Complex in Miami Gardens.
Now in its 11th year, the fair is designed to promote healthy habits among children and teens, ages 3 to 18, through hands-on, engaging activities. This year’s event will be hosted by Super Bowl Champion Bryant McKinnie, formerly of the Miami Hurricanes and Miami Dolphins.
Attendees will take part in a wide range of activities including football drills, group workouts, cooking demonstrations, games, and live music. Professional athletes, fitness experts, and community influencers—such as Papa Keith of 103.5 The Beat, Mr. Frosty 305, and Supreme Fit Fam—are partnering with the Foundation to make the day both fun and impactful.
Founded by educator Anike Sakariyawo, the S.E.E.K. Foundation is a mobile and online nonprofit dedicated to providing educational and enrichment programming in the areas of STEM/STEAM, health, fitness, anti-bullying, and community involvement.
The fair aims to show youth that living a healthy lifestyle can be fun and accessible. Organizers expect more than 500 children to attend throughout the day.
