The Island SPACE Mango Festival is set to return to Broward County on Saturday, June 7, 2025, offering a daylong celebration of Caribbean culture centered around the region’s most iconic fruit. The annual event will take place from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Lauderdale Lakes Middle School Gym, bringing together community members, local vendors, and mango enthusiasts for a unique cultural experience.
Coined as the county’s only mango-focused festival, the event features tastings of dozens of mango varieties, including Caribbean favorites like the Jamaican Julie, East Indian, and Haitian Francine. Guests can also take part in a mango taste-off, sample rare cultivars, and browse a curated corner highlighting record-breaking mangoes.
In addition to food offerings, the festival will include a marketplace of mango-themed products—such as soaps, oils, candles, and art—alongside a snack counter serving mango-infused desserts, juices, breads, and preserves.

The event also places a strong emphasis on education and cultural storytelling. Hands-on workshops will be available throughout the day, covering topics like mango tree grafting, juicing for wellness, cosmetic uses of mangoes, and traditional stories from across the Caribbean diaspora. Attendees will also have the opportunity to purchase mango plants and receive cultivation tips directly from experts.
Organizers say the festival is designed for all ages and aims to celebrate Caribbean heritage while engaging the community through food, learning, and cultural exchange. Interactive exhibits and storytelling sessions will be available for families looking to explore the mango’s historical and cultural significance.
Tickets are currently on sale at islandspacefl.org/mangofest25. Pre-sold tickets are $20 for adults and $10 for children under 12. Tickets at the door will be $25 for adults.
The Island SPACE Mango Festival is supported by the Broward County Cultural Division, BBX Capital Foundation, Community Reinvestment Alliance of Florida, and multiple local sponsors and donors through the Community Foundation of Broward.
