The Miami-Dade Chapter of the Florida A&M University (FAMU) National Alumni Association is hosting its 4th annual “Be Out Day Miami” Scholarship Picnic, a free, family-friendly event aimed at supporting local students attending FAMU.
Happening on Saturday, March 15, 2025, from 12 PM to 6 PM at Haulover Park in Miami Beach, the event will feature music from FAMU-affiliated DJs, interactive games, local vendors, and a variety of food options—all while raising funds for student scholarships.
“Be Out Day Miami” is part of a full weekend of activities focused on community engagement and fundraising. The weekend kicks off on Friday, March 14, with the “Views on Brickell” party at the AC Marriott Brickell from 7 PM to 11 PM and concludes on Sunday, March 16, with “Bowling for Scholars” at SpareZ Bowling Alley at 6:30 PM.
Proceeds from the weekend will directly support Miami-Dade students attending FAMU, ensuring they have the financial resources needed to thrive academically. The Miami-Dade Chapter of the FAMU NAA continues to uphold the university’s motto: “Academic excellence with caring.”
