Broward County Animal Care is offering free pet adoptions as part of its “Plenty of Pets” event, running from February 7 to February 14. The initiative aims to find homes for animals in the shelter while removing financial barriers for potential adopters.
The adoption event will take place at Broward County Animal Care, located at 2400 SW 42nd Street in Fort Lauderdale. Adopters can visit between 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. to meet available pets.
“Our shelter is full of amazing pets just waiting for a second chance,” said Doug Brightwell, Director of Broward County Animal Care. “The ‘Plenty of Pets’ event is the perfect opportunity to find your perfect match—without the financial barriers. We hope to see more families, young professionals, and individuals come out and experience the joy of pet adoption.”
All adopted pets will be spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. Additionally, adopters will receive a special gift, such as a pet bed or toys. Those adopting pets that have been in the shelter for 90 days or more will receive a complimentary vaccine voucher for the Pet Care Clinic, which can save up to $175 on preventive care.
