Following the Historic Overtown Toy Giveaway, City of Miami Chairwoman and District 5 Commissioner Christine King will also host a Holiday Gift Giveaway, sponsored by Stanley Gabart / Stanley Gabart Foundation and MLK Economic Development Corporation, in Little Haiti for District 5 residents on Monday, December 23rd. The celebration will include holiday music, refreshments, fun activities for kids, and a special visit from Santa and his helpers.
“It is a gift itself to be able to bring together these incredible partners to help make the children of our district smile this season and alleviate the pressures of gift giving on the parents,” said Chairwoman King in a press release.
Gifts will be distributed on a first come, first served basis. The adult accompanying the children must be a District 5 resident with valid identification. Gifts will be distributed to children between the ages of 3 – 16 years old.
