The City of Opa-locka, with the support of Mayor John H. Taylor Jr. and the City Commission, is set to host a Community Resource Fair, organized by Commissioner Veronica Williams. The event aims to connect local residents with essential services and resources to support families and individuals in the community.

Scheduled for October 29, 2024, the fair will take place from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Shebony Village Auditorium, located at 215 N. Perviz Avenue in Opa-locka, Florida. Admission is free, and all are welcome to attend.

The event will feature a range of services, including sealing and expungement assistance, child and family support, health check-ups, library resources, small business grant opportunities, workforce training programs, and affordable housing information.

“This event is here to provide access to the tools and assistance you need,” said Commissioner Williams. “We are excited to bring these valuable resources directly to our community, whether you’re seeking legal support, business opportunities, or health services.”
