The 3rd Annual Teach to Fish: NoMi Business Summit, set for October 16-18, 2024, at the Kovens Conference Center on Florida International University’s Biscayne Bay Campus, will feature Grammy Award-winning producer and entrepreneur Timbaland as its keynote speaker. The event is presented by Florida Power & Light Company’s Powering Florida’s Black-Owned Businesses Educational Programming, in collaboration with the City of North Miami and the North Miami Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA).
Known for his groundbreaking contributions to the music industry, Timbaland has also made significant strides in the business world. He co-founded the popular Verzuz webcast series and established Mosley Music Group, a record label that has helped launch the careers of numerous artists. His entrepreneurial ventures extend to platforms like Beat Club, which supports emerging talent in the music industry. Timbaland’s business journey reflects the mission of the NoMi Business Summit, which seeks to equip entrepreneurs with the knowledge and resources needed to grow and succeed.
The summit, themed “Building Your Equity,” aims to provide practical insights and support for business owners at various stages of development. Participants will have the opportunity to attend workshops, engage in strategic networking, and explore funding options tailored to small businesses. The event is designed to empower entrepreneurs with tools that can be applied immediately to enhance their operations.
