BLKCo, a collective known for its vibrant gatherings, is set to host a culturally significant event titled Noir Nights @ Da Crib on October 5, 2024. This unique event will take place at the historic D. A. Dorsey House in Miami and aims to celebrate the rich diversity of Black communities across Miami-Dade County.
In the months leading up to the event, BLKCo organizers canvassed Black neighborhoods across the region, spending over 160 hours connecting with more than 10,000 residents. Their outreach spanned various communities, including Jamaican, Haitian, African American, Bahamian, Afro-Latino, and others, listening to the unique perspectives and challenges faced by Miami’s Black diaspora.
This upcoming celebration will showcase the results of those conversations, bringing people together in a lively atmosphere filled with music, food, and deep cultural connection. Attendees can expect not only a celebration of the Black experience but also discussions centered on issues that affect Black communities both locally and globally.
BLKCo’s Noir Nights @ Da Crib promises to be a night of unity, honoring the shared history, diverse cultures, and communal strength of Miami’s Black residents. The event, which begins at 7:00 PM, is free and open to the public, although attendees are encouraged to RSVP.
