Broward County Animal Care Partners with Bissell Pet Foundation for free adoptions
Broward County Animal Care, Broward County’s official pet adoption and animal welfare agency, is set to make this fall unforgettable for pet lovers with the return of its highly anticipated “Fall in Love – Empty the Shelters” free pet adoption campaign, running from October 1 – 15. Animal Care is partnering with the Bissell Pet Foundation (BPF) to challenge South Florida residents to adopt a shelter pet. The campaign aims to break down adoption barriers and give hundreds of shelter pets the loving homes they deserve. Residents can view potential pet matches online at PetAdoptions.Broward.org.
“We challenge South Florida to ‘Fall in Love’ and give a shelter pet a second chance,” said Doug Brightwell, Broward County Animal Care director, in a press release. “Partnering with the Bissell Pet Foundation, we’re excited to see how many lives we can change through this campaign—both for the pets and their new owners. These animals are waiting for their fresh start, and we hope families throughout the region will open their hearts and homes.”
Through this partnership, BPF is paying for the adoption fees and making it easier to bring home a new furry friend. All adopted pets will be fully vaccinated, sterilized, and microchipped, ensuring they’re ready for a healthy and happy life with their new families.
