Miami-Dade Commissioner Kionne McGhee Leads South Dade Efforts to Aid Hurricane Helene Victims

Miami-Dade County Commissioner Kionne L. McGhee (District 9) is spearheading a community-driven initiative to assist those affected by Hurricane Helene. In response to the devastation caused by the hurricane, residents of South Dade are encouraged to come together and donate essential supplies to help victims in need.

The South Dade Government Center, located at 10710 SW 211 Street in Cutler Bay, will serve as the official drop-off site for relief items. Donations will be accepted over the weekend, with specific requests for the following supplies:

  • Packaged tarps
  • Bottled water
  • Batteries and flashlights
  • First aid kits

Drop-off times are as follows:

  • Friday: 11 AM – 5 PM
  • Saturday & Sunday: 9 AM – 5 PM

Commissioner McGhee is urging the community to participate in this relief effort and bring much-needed supplies to support those impacted by the storm.
