Virginia Key Beach Park Trust Chairwoman Commissioner Christine King to host Community Workshop Visioning Session for Historic Virginia Key Beach Park Museum

Virginia Key Beach Park Trust Chairwoman Christine King will be hosting a community workshop to discuss the planning process for establishing a civil rights museum on Saturday, September 30, 2023, at the Historic Virginia Key Beach Park, 4020 Virginia Beach Drive, Miami FL 33149 from 10am to 12pm.

“Now is the time more than ever for the community to be engaged in their local cultural spaces. It’s important that we resuscitate the idea that this space should be preserved,” says Mr. Neil Hall, Interim Executive Director of the Virginia Key Beach Park Trust in a press release.

 The community workshop tagged, “Building Our Legacy” Community Visioning Session for Historic Virginia Key Beach Park, has been organized with LORD Cultural Resources in an effort to move the park’s museum project forward with the support of Miami Dade County, the City of Miami, the Board of Trustees and members of the community who care about the park’s preservation.
