The festival kicks off Saturday, August 26th, 2023 at The Urban in Miami.
Black Pepper Food & Wine Festival is the first food festival of its kind in South Florida that was solely created to celebrate and support Black Owned Restaurants and Food Trucks.
The festival was created in 2019, by entrepreneurs Alexis Brown and Joel Franklin, to celebrate Black culture, cuisine, and most importantly provide an opportunity for African-American restaurateurs to increase exposure and expand their business as well as a sustainable event for the community to circulate the Black Dollar and practice group economics.
Black Pepper Food Festival is a full day festival merging African Diaspora cuisine, music, art and overall cultural resonance. Adding to the aesthetic of the communal celebration, there will also be several activations on the Main Stage.
The event is presented by the Greater Miami Conventions and Visitors Bureau and Miami-Dade Chairman Oliver Gilbert and it will all kick off Saturday, August 26th, 3pm -8pm. The food and wine festival will feature culinary delights, cooking demos, wine tasting, and live entertainment.
