On June 29th, the City of Miami Gardens recently honored Miami Gardens native and professional football player Teddy Bridgewater with his own football field at Bunche Park! The field dedication not only recognizes Teddy’s exceptional skills on the football field but also celebrates the enduring commitment he and his family have demonstrated in giving back to the community that nurtured his dreams.
Bridgewater, who played in his younger years in the Miami Gardens football program, was selected by the Minnesota Vikings in the 2014 NFL Draft and went on to make a significant impact in the league, earning accolades and admiration for his poise under pressure and his ability to rally his team.
“Teddy has exemplified the values of hard work, dedication, and giving back throughout his remarkable career,” said Mayor Rodney Harris in a press release. “By dedicating this football field in his honor, we aim to celebrate his extraordinary achievements and inspire future generations to pursue their dreams with unwavering determination.”
