“Your homeownership dreams are possible in Miami-Dade”
Edwin Miller, Housing Administrator for MDEAT, and Marquis Best, Construction Development Specialist for MDEAT, joined us on the latest episode of the Can We Talk podcast to discuss the Homestead Community Redevelopment Agency & the Miami-Dade Economic Advocacy Trust Pathways to Homeownership: One-Stop-Shop for Aspiring Homeowners event taking place THIS Saturday, June 24th from Noon to 4 p.m at the Miami-Dade College Homestead Campus 500 College Terrace, Aviation Building F 222 Homestead, FL 33030.
With June being National Homeownership Month, it’s a great time to learn about initiatives that aim to shrink the 20-point gap between Black and White homeowners. The Miami-Dade Economic Advocacy Trust (MDEAT) has been investing in increasing Black homeownership in Miami. Since 1995, MDEAT has invested nearly $50 million in this effort and has helped more than 7,900 families through its Homeownership Assistance Program, which provides downpayment and closing costs assistance.
If you’re interested in purchasing a home, check out the full interview below and head out to the event!
