It’s almost Juneteenth–the day the last enslaved African Americans were informed of their freedom. On June 19th, Black people across the country commemorate Juneteenth by celebrating our resilience through community uplift, education, fellowship, food and entertainment.

5. Juneteenth Park-In & Party: Experience in the Gardens

City of Miami Gardens Vice Mayor Katrina Wilson, Councilman Reggie Leon and Councilman Robert Stephens, III present the 3rd Annual Juneteenth Park-In and Party Celebration under this year’s theme, “Experience in the Gardens”! 6. The Juneteenth Experience 2023

The Juneteenth Experience is an interdisciplinary performance and celebration of our national holiday, Juneteenth. The performance will feature song, dance, spoken word, and multimedia. ⁠The two-part performance begins at 6:30 PM with the screening of short films by local artists celebrating Black joy and liberation.
