New Black-Owned Co-Working & Content Creation Studio To Host Grand Opening in Miami Gardens April 29th

With the recent spike in remote work, the search for a safe and comfortable place to work has increased year after year. To solve this problem, entrepreneur Joy St Clair created Co-Space to be a place for co-working, content creation, and collaboration. She said she wants to meet the needs of small businesses, solo entrepreneurs, nonprofit organizations, and anyone in general who needs a workspace to get things done.

St Clair will host the business’ grand opening on Saturday, April 29; 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. The event is free and open to the public and will feature tours, vendors, discounted membership options, and a great vibe, said St Clair.

During the grand opening, you’ll be able to shop vendors @slpllc, @abundantflamecandleco, and @englishbrown_winery. Appetizers will be provided by @prettyhealthycafe and experience a live painting by @artby_ar.

“I struggled to find local places where I could co-work and I often ended up disappointed, uncomfortable, and sometimes even more distracted,” said Joy St Clair about why she launched this new business.

This struggle was compounded by the reality of feeling unwelcome in different spaces as a person of color.

“I started Co-Space because I realized I wasn’t the only person searching for a place to work and create content,” she said.

St Clair said creating a safe co-working space for Black people was intentional, but wants everyone of all races, genders, and orientations to feel welcome.  To make sure she could organically reach a large part of her target demographics, she searched for a business located in Miami Gardens, which is the largest predominantly African-American municipality in the State of Florida.

“Miami Gardens is known as a city of Black excellence and we wanted to be a part of that,” said St. Clair. “We are thrilled to be among the ranks of black business owners in this beautiful and thriving city.”
