The City of Miami honored Miami Dolphins legend Larry Little with the renaming of Northwest 11th Terrace, from Northwest Sixth Avenue to Northwest First Avenue, to Larry C. Little Street. The street, which is near Dixie Park in Overtown, is where the pro baller first started dreaming of a football career when he was only 9 years old.
The city made the announcement in front of Larry’s family, friends and former teammates on March 27th during a ceremony at his alma mater, Booker T. Washington High School.
Little, who’s considered to be one of the all time best offensive guards, was a member of the undefeated 1972 Dolphins and an NFL Hall of Fame 1993 inductee. Larry is also a community champion, having founded the Larry Little Gold Coast Foundation, which supports inner city youth programs and provides scholarship assistance to college-bound students.
Congratulations to Larry on this major honor. We look forward to driving down Larry C. Little street really soon!
