Miami’s oldest Black owned dance company, Peter London Dance Company, will be hosting their 10th Anniversary performance at the Adrienne Arsht Center on December 28-31!
“Ancestral Ground” is a choreographic explosion of bold, electrifying and diverse contemporary choreography, with Afro-Diasporean traditional dance infused with ballet and modern techniques. Pieces will include Haitian American dancer and choreographer Vitolio Jeune’s “I AM MY BROTHER’S KEEPER”, as well as Peter London’s celebration of LA BELLE HAITI with “DEITIES OF LOVE.”
The show will also feature a celebration of Miami’s female choreographers, like Kashia Kancey’s company’s premiere piece “AND SO I RUN”, as well as brilliant commissioned scores from gifted composers, like Etienne Charles and Jeremy Jordan.
PLGDC is Miami’s leading multicultural and multi-ethnic contemporary dance ensemble, with dancers of virtuosic techniques in Ballet, contemporary, Latin, jazz, and Hip Hop. “Ancestral Ground” will showcase PLGDC’s resilience with memorable performances in spite of these challenging times.
