Black Fence will host its inaugural Miami exhibition in partnership with the Gabriel Hotel South Beach on Saturday, December 3rd, 2022, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at 640 Ocean Dr. Miami Beach, FL 33139. Entitled, ‘Art as a Social Experiment’, the exhibition merges talented New York and Miami emerging artists of color with a feature on digital art curated by Black Fence and its network of national creators.
Artists of color will be featured throughout the Gabriel South Beach to include framed pieces by creators, Kelsey Marie and Shauna Harley highlighted inside the hotel’s notably chic property. The artists’ work is also presented on the Shop Black Fence platform. Kelsey splits her time between New York and Atlanta and Shauna is located in New York.
Digital artist and NFT creator, Sydney Jeanty, will perform a live digital art presentation by the pool on the concourse level, showing her process for creating NFTs and how digital art will transform our perspective on how we interpret art. Sydney is based in Miami.
Artist Christina Iris will present a live physical painting experience in the open air, leveraging salvaged pieces instead of canvas as her art medium. This presentation seeks to speak to the future of art and its part in the sustainability movement. Christina is based in New York and has been featured by Yonkers Arts.
With the rise of the metaverse and a tech infused art culture, this special presentation allows guests to experience how digital art is made and engage viewers to see the juxtaposition of digital art vs. live art. Black Fence aims to assist artists of color with exposure of their creativity on a high-level through its network of national creators and partners.
