Broward law enforcement officials have joined forces to assist residents will sealing their criminal records.
Florida law allows certain people to seal and or expunge their criminal records. It is the only way to delete a criminal record in Florida. Criminal records could be a barrier to obtaining employment and housing.
Broward County State Attorney’s Office, Broward County Court of Clerks, Broward County Sheriff’s Office, Miramar Police Department and Mayor Wayne Messam will host a free sealing and expungement workshop Thursday.
The workshop is from 3-7 p.m. at the Miramar Multi-service Complex, 6700 Miramar Complex in Miramar. Pre-register here: boardsao.com. Walk-ins are welcome. Bring government-issued identification.
