Afro Carib Festival Brings Reggae, Afrobeats, Reggaeton, To Miramar

The City of Miramar will celebrate South Florida’s diverse African Diaspora community this Saturday, February 26th, at the Afro Carib Festival.

The annual event, hosted by Miramar Commissioner Alexandra Davis, brings some of the biggest African and Caribbean acts center stage for a night of music and culture commemorating Black History Month and Reggae Month.

Reggae superstar @protoje Afrobeats star @afrob__ and Reggaeton artist @eixofficial will headline the outdoor event at the Amphitheater at Miramar Regional Park.

Protoje is known for his contemporary and eclectic style of reggae music. Get your footwork in order for a performance by Afro B, known for the international Afrobeat dance anthem “Drogba” (Joanna).

Local vendors will also offer an array of Caribbean and African dishes and other merchandise at the festival that has drawn crowds of all ages and backgrounds.

Tickets are $15 are on sale at http://www.Ticketmaster.com. Limited VIP tickets are available for $45. Parking is $10.
